JLPW News: Senior Partner Jeff Leong appointed a Mediator of Benchmark Chambers International and Benchmark International Mediation Centre, Shenzhen, China

At a Mediator Appointment Ceremony this morning (2 November 2019) at the sidelines of the Fourth Qianhai Legal Intelligence Forum on “International Commercial Mediation: International Experience And Chinese Practice” in Shenzhen, China, JLPW Senior Partner Jeff Leong was formally appointed a Mediator of Benchmark Chambers International (BCI) and Benchmark International Mediation Centre (BIMC).

BCI and BIMC are respectively the Foreign Law Ascertainment Centre and International Mediation Centre for the People’s Supreme Court of China in Shenzhen. 

Tsinghua University Professor Zhang Yuejiao, a former WTO appellate judge and Director of BIMC and Mr Philip Yang, Honorable Chairman of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, were also appointed BIMC Mediators at the BIMC Mediator Appointment Ceremony.

According to Senior Partner Jeff Leong, “It is a privilege to be appointed a Mediator for BCI and BIMC and I am looking forward to mediate international commercial disputes in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau and along the Belt And Road”.
